The Sint Maarten Yacht Club and the Holland Regatta Club are thrilled to announce an extraordinary, combined race of the Course de l’Alliance and the Round the Rocks Regatta. This exciting sailing event will take place from November 29 to December 3, 2023, featuring a captivating racecourse that highlights the beauty of the Caribbean as a great sailing destination.
The Round the Rocks Regatta, organized by the Holland Regatta Club, will depart on November 29 from Sint Maarten. Teams are able to sign up for this regatta with a chartered sailboat from Sint Maarten. On November 29 they will leave for their first race day to St. Eustatius. The next day they will race to St. Kitts, and on Friday December 1st, the fleet will race from St. Kitts to Saint Barths.
“All registered teams so far have a Dutch nationality, said Anton van de Koppel, event organizer for the Holland Regatta Club. During that time of the year, it is winter in Holland and lots of sailors are motivated to visit the Caribbean to sail in this great event”.
The Course de l’Alliance, a regional sailing event, organized and hosted by the Sint Maarten Yacht Club, will start their annual edition on Friday December 1st from Sint Maarten, racing to Saint Barths, where both fleets and race will come together.
From that point onwards the fleets will be combined and continue as the Course de l’Alliance.
On Saturday December 2nd the fleet will race the next leg from Saint Barths to Anguilla. To return to Sint Maarten on Sunday December 3rd.
