To rent a sailboat you need to become a (temporary) member of the Yacht Club.
More information about membership click button below or ask one of the SMYC staff in the Boutique.
Additional to the temporarily membership costs is costs for boat rental is 10 $ per boat per hour.
Only for full resident SMYC members boat rental is free of charge.
Dinghy / Small boat Sailing Experience is required for renting a sailboat. Without significant dinghy sailing experience, you cannot rent a boat. This is tested by one of the sailing instructors by talking to you about your sailing experience. Assistance with rigging the boat and leaving the dock will be given the first time you take out a boat, by one of the sailing instructors.
Boat rental always needs to be scheduled at a specific time and day – and depends on the other activities and classes at the SMYC.
