The SMYC is looking for a dynamic professional to join our team as a sailing school instructor.
About the Job:
Position: Sailing School Instructor
Contract: 1-year
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours/week, working on weekends on a regular basis
Location: Beautiful St. Maarten
Start Date: Negotiable
Eligibility: St. Maarten, Dutch, or American nationality, or valid work/residence permit
Responsibilities:
– Run youth sailing programs for ages 7-18
– Teach ‘Sailability’ classes to differently abled students
– Organize and run the race officer / race committee side of local club events
– Coach and supervise assistants and youth sailors
– Plan and execute summer camps and fun adventure sails
– Maintain and manage boats, equipment, and sailing areas
– Support the St. Maarten Heineken Regatta and Yacht Club events
