DESCRIPTION:The St. Maarten Heineken Regatta will celebrate its 43rd edition in 2023 from March 2 – 5\, 2023. It is the largest regatta in the Caribbean and probably the largest warm water regatta in the world.\nThis world-renowned sailing event offers four days of World Class Racing and wonderfully entertaining nights keeping with the event’s motto of “Serious Fun”! With an impact on the sporting community extending beyond the Caribbean into Europe\, the United States\, and beyond.\nOur 4-day event attracts well over 20\,000 visitors annually\, from young professionals to businesspersons\, from party-goers to international sailors\, aging from 18 to 55+ coming from over 37 different countries.\nAfter an amazing day of sailing\, the participants are able to enjoy great local food and enjoy an ice-cold Heineken in the Regatta Village. DESCRIPTION:The Grant Thornton Season Championship will consist of 5 separate smaller series: The Soons Series (2-days)\, the Aberson Series (2-days)\, The Multiclass Regatta (2 days)\, the Hoedemaker Series (2-days)\, the Hope Ross Series (2-days). \nGo to the calendar or NOR to see all the race dates. \nThe Sint Maarten Yacht Club will award a Seasonal Championship award at the prize giving on June 4th. This club championship is sponsored by Grant Thornton\, the Global Financial Services Company. \nThe races are open  to Optimists\, RS Zest\, Lasers\, RS Quests and Sun Fast 20’s. \nTime schedule: \n\n\nRegister online if you are joining and reserve your boat. \n\n\nCheck in and pay the entree fee at the Sint Maarten Yacht Club\, registration table between 12:15 and 1 PM. No more registration after 1 PM! \n\n\nMake sure you know your sail number. \n\n\n1 PM: Skippers Breefing at the Teaching Deck. \n\n\nFirst warning of all the races of the season are scheduled at 2 PM. \n\n\n​ \nPrize giving per race day is 1 hour and 15 minutes after the finish of the race. \nSoons Series: September 24 and October 8\, 2022 \nAberson Series: November 26 and December 17\, 2022\nMulticlass Regatta: January 14 and 15\, 2023 \nHoedemaker Series: January 28 and February 18\, 2023 \nHope Ross Series: April 15  and May 6\, 2023

SUMMARY:Multiclass Regatta
DESCRIPTION:The Grant Thornton Multiclass Regatta is the biggest annual dinghy regatta organized by the St. Maarten Yacht Club. Open to all the classes that the Yacht Club has to offer. Optimist\, Laser\, RS Zest\, RS Quest and Sunfast 20 will all race outside in Simpson Bay.A lot of the students of the SMYC sailing school take part and they get joined by multiple adult members of the Yacht Club.\n​
